This is probably the best thing you’ll read today. Following last week’s episode of The Office, called The Negotiation, fans of the show headed over to the Wikipedia entry for Negotiation and began changing it to fit head honcho Michael Scott’s rules. According to Mr. Scott “Wikipedia is the best thing ever. Anyone in the world can write anything they want about any subject. So you know you are getting the best possible information.” And leave it to the masses to prove himm right!
While the current entry for Negotiation has been locked, and nary a trace of The Office episode remains on the page, we can only imagine what sort of things were added. Judging by the actual episode, it’s the following:
* By leaning back, and by whispering, one establishes a dominant physical position. Mumbling helps too.
* Tactic number 6: Change the location of the meeting at the last second. Totally throws ‘em off.
* Number 14: Declining to speak first. Makes them feel uncomfortable, puts you in control.
* You give me a good raise, or no more sex.
* And, of course, Wear ladies clothing.
