this weekend? ...superbad.

i had a fun last weekend of the summer. let me tell you aboot it.

friday 8/17.
angela and i went to sandusky to get her paycheck. we ate at quiznos, and then walked around the mall to stall time before we went to see SUPERBAD.

*spoilers*

superbad was hilarious. another great comedy by judd apatow. the man knows his comedy. michael cera and jonah hill deliver the funny. as what happend with knocked up to seth rogan will happy to these fellas. i always loved michael cera from that classic show that nobody ever watched = arrested development. he nails the 'uncomforatbly nervious, bumbling, etc.' good stuff. go see this movie. with no other agenda than being immature. you will laugh. if you don't know its about three losers in highschool trying to get beer for a party...hijinks ensue. it is hilarious that seth rogan wrote this flick at the age of 13, and today he is too old to play the main character...so he got jonah hill. (jonah hill is 24, seth rogan is 25)
the above clip made me laugh waaaaay too much....it was sort of a reflection of my childhood years. i waited all summer to see this movie, and it was worth it. freaks and geeks. undeclared. the40yearoldvirgin. knocked up. superbad. judd apatow should be your hero too. if you havn't seen the preview for his movie 'walk hard' w. john c. reilly, jenna fischer, and paul rudd as john lennon...check this out.

i think the video i posted earlier isn't working anymore, anyways.

after the movie, angela and i went back up to sandusky and ate at the japanese steak house. we were celebrating being together for ten months. here's to me not screwing it up thus far.

saturday 8/18.
we woke up, and ate lunch at vargoes. mmmm vargoes. i've gotten the same things all summer: hush puppies, and two sloppy joes. (although sometimes i switch one sloppy joe for a hot dog) then we drove to columbus. i was so tired on the way up that i pulled over and let angela drive from mansfield. we hung out w. bryan and family for a while then drove up to high street. we went to the laughing ogre and i got a tpb of 'essential howard the duck' and 'sin city: the hard goodbye #1.' we found the parking garage and then to mcdonalds so angela could pee, and then we walked into urban outfitters on the way to the newport. we saw reel big fish and less than jake. against all authority opened up. it was a night of ska. i think i'm mostly over the whole 'getting into the pit' phase.....because we kind of stood further back. with the occasional fat dude covered in sweat rubbing up against me every 2 minutes because we were sort of in an isle way...behind the lighting guy. that sucked. but when reel big fish came on it was really sweet. they played atleast like 8 songs from turn the radio off. this was way better than the other time i had seen them. plus they played what ever happend to suburban rythm in like 6 different styles of music. it was sweet. angela didn't really wanna stay for less than jake...and i kind of wanted to because the first time i had ever came to the newport, was to see them. so i told angela i just wanted to stay until they played johnny quest, then we would leave. we stopped at a tacobell/pizzahut on the way back. (angela and jeff's perfect restaurant = i hate taco bell and she hates pizza.)

today 8/19.

we woke up and hung out at bryans for a while. bryan gave me a lecture using riley. we drove home....listening to disney songs while angela played gameboy. angela and i went to VARGOES AGAIN, and then she went to work. and now i sit here, and blog to you, internet. so how will i spend the last night of the summer, you axe?? um....hanging out, playing nintendo, reading entertainment weekly, and comic books. i don't wanna go to school tomorrow.

goodbye internet. enjoy your sunday.

"funny thing about my back is...its on my dick..."
see, im a girl, and i felt like i got to hear how boys talk when girls aren't around. also, its funny cause i said the "funny thing about my back" line super loud in a Starbucks, and felt like an ass--so i kinda got to experience what its like to be a high school boy for 0.03 seconds in addition to eavesdropping on high school boy convo.
and, i agree, judd apatow should be everyone's hero. except, maybe not nuns' heroes. but everyone else.
