boobhunt. (my LAST warped tour)

man....i had a long day yesterday. i was worried all week that i'd be sick on friday...and i was. but anyways, angela and i left here alittle after nine. we drove to toledo, and ate ipoh. oh it was so good. i love ipoh. then from there, we drove to detroit. we got to warped tour alittle after 1. we had saw on the website, that coheed and cambria was playing at 1, (that was the only reason we were going,) so angela was pissed at me for being late...and we ran to get in. we get there, look at the schedule, and realize that they aren't playing until 7:55 that night. so we had all day to kill. so we start walking around. and i start to realize why i stopped going to warped tour in the first place....

it was incredibly hot. we were sweating balls all day long. that sucked. walking around, all you could see was the tweenie kids...trying to be trendy. hey! let's dye our hair blue for a day, buy a tshirt of our favorite band, and get some plaid pants from goodwill! you are not punk, if you're punk for a day. you're an idiot. little kids, walking around with their parents.....i remember coming as a young kid...but was i this stupid?? none of the bands i used to like were there anymore. all shitty, shitty, shitty bands. they all sound the same. emo bullshit. or yelling. i don't understand the yelling.

besides the hotness, the stupidness, i actually still had a good time. the warped tour in detroit was at 'coamerica park.' which i didn't know...was actually the detroit tigers baseball stadium. so after we walked around and looked at all the band tents, we just sat in the stadium, in the shade. we basically just hung out all day together. which was nice. despite the heat. that sucked. we wasted large amounts on money on drinks and food....another reason why i hate warped tour. we did check out one band, 'meg and dia' ....and they were really good. two asian chicks. they were good...we went and bought their cd afterwards. so we waited, and waited, and waited....and finally it was time to see angela's fav. band 'coheed and cambria.'

they were one of the last bands to play, so the assholes were getting restless. i was expecting the croud to be so roudy...(it was just cuz we were at warped) but they started throwing shit, and moshing. coheed came on. and they actually rocked. angela has been trying to get me into their cds...but i dunno...if i woulda seen them live first, it would of been totally different. they kick ass live. it was cool. they only played like 4 songs, and then they were done. then we walked back to our car.

will i ever attend warped tour again? probably not. i'm just so over all that crap. it made me feel old. really. was four songs worth waiting all day long in the heat?? probably not. but i learned something yesterday. i could be at a funeral, and still have a good time...if angela was there. despite all the suckiness, still being sick....i had a good time spending the day with my wonderful girlfriend, who i love like crazy YO.
