yesterday i went to go see 'fantastic four 2: rise of the silver surfer.'
*spoilers*
and it was pretty sweet. i've been looking forward to this for a while, and you know how judging i am on these comic flicks. and it was really good. the sequel takes place immediatly after the first flick, reed and sue are getting married. but norrin radd aka the silver surfer comes to wreck everything. the fantastic four flicks are THE BEST, and most loyal adaptations from the comics to film. (of all the marvel flicks, if not all comic book movies in general) the casting is great. the the characters are nailed to a t. the way they look, act, interact....it's all very true to the comic. and this is true in the sequel as well. they nailed the silver surfer. the ss pretty much has any power imaginable. he weild's the fucking POWER COSMIC. he can manipulate time, space, matter....anything. thanks to that neat silver surf board. so the silver surfer interrupts their wedding, and they spend the rest of the movie fighting him off, and eventually teaming up against the greater evil...his master: galactus. i wasn't entirely pleased on how they portrayed galactus....but i'm sure the general movie going audience will think it's pretty sweet. they made him like this giant cloudy stormy thing...when he is actually i ginormous purple dude. but they hint to his real form by showing shadows of his head on planets, or the shape of his head when the silver surfer faces off with him. it wasn't bad. kind of like how when anikan stands over the same mound where luke will eventually stand in starwars, lucas hints that he will be darth vader making his shadow in the shape of darth's mask. kind of like that. but the movie was sweet....and well worth the wait. they hinted towards a sequel...which most people won't get, unless you read comics. (the submariner) an infamous marvel baddy is hinted. and stan lee even makes an appearance as himself...which is fitting...since the ff were his very first creation for marvel.
good shit.
after that i went to vargoes. then ate dinner. then went to cedar point. road the sky lift thingy, the wild cat, the train, tried to win giant stuffed animals but failed, eat giant elephant ears, and cheese on a stick. it was alright...i would of been happier if i had won the stuffed animal.
and that's what i did yesterday.
today the only thing i'll probably do is attend angela's brother noah's graduation party. sounds like fun eh?
later internet.
