when the nerds come out at night...

last night was fun. i know going to fremont twice in one week is REALLY pushing it. but last night was special. rupp's comics was having their 15th anniversary, and it was also their annual midnight sale. ang came over after she got off work...and we headed to fremont. we listened to a couple of old mixes that i had made, and i had no idea what was still on them. we had fun singing. we got there a little early, and sat in the parking lot and waiting. nerds were getting dropped off by their mommies in their minivans. all of the nerds were already lined up in front of the comic shop, jumping up and down with anticipation. ang and i sat in my car mocking them, as if i was less dorkier than all the other people. the doors opened, and we all rushed inside. everything was on sale. everything was uuber cheap. it was wicked awesome. everything upstairs was on sale, but the really big deals laid in the basement...where the longboxes lined up as far as the nerdy eye could see. i filled up a shortbox. i basically just grabbed random old comics, i didnt have an extensive list of back issues like some dudes did. i filled it up with lots of old spiderman, some old wonderman, and a little x-factor. ang followed me around like a champ, holding my shortbox, and putting all the comics in for me...after i had pulled them out sorting through the longboxes. she even scared away a couple of 12 year olds who were eyeing my shortbox. we went back upstairs, and waiting in line with all of the other dorks. we didn't get out of there for a while. it took a couple of hours. got back late. but it was a good time. it's good being a dork. good times. check out this picture i took last night. it's the best...


today all that's on my mind is finishing my color project for 2d art!! wish me luck, k?
