long day. woke up late, because i was up late with angela. woke up. internet. shower. lunch. went to campus. art class. we had to turn in our paintings. we critiqued them as a class. then we spent the rest of the class working on our color project. fun? ehhh i guess. hour break. spent it in the computer lab wasting time on the internet. art history. BORING. it was funny because a kid in the back was actually mouthing off to mr. sapp, and he totally flipped out, threw around some obscenities, and kicked him out of class. psychology. went home. then the payoff.
tonight was a GOOD NIGHT for tv. the pilots for two new shows aired. and i enjoyed them both immensly. first up, '30 rock' on nbc. nbc's 2nd show about a fake snl type show. the first one being 'studio60.' where studio60 is hourlong and dramatic, 30 rock is the opposite. half an hour. comedy. REALLY FUNNY. you got tina fey, rachel dratch, tracey morgan, alec baldwin. i really liked the pilot ep. this could turn out to be a really funny show. tracey morgan is great in it. he plays an obnoxious black actor who is a bit on the crazy side. well, not too far off from himself in real life. i love it. next up, '20 good years.' great as well. john lithgow and jeffrey tambor. they are great together. chemistry and crap. the show is basically about two 60 year olds who figure they have 20 good years left, and want to live more exciting lives. do something dangerous everyday. john lithgow plays the more out going, crazy guy while jeffrey tambor is more of the straight man. i didnt think john lithgow could top his sitcom stardom of 'the high commander' from '3rd rock' ....but this series looks pretty promising. hey, i support the dying beast that is 'the sitcom.' you should too.
and then there's LOST. ohhhhhh LOST. i love you. if you didn't know....IT'S MY FAVORITE SHOW. and i'm sick of blogging play by play posts of all the shows, as i did last season, and the premiere ep of this season, because hey...that IS REALLY DORKY. so let me summarize. this episode was really good. flashbacks were sun's. we find out that she was having an affair with the man who secretly taught her english while married to jin. in the present, jin sun and siyeed are still on desmond's sailboat. they find the dock on the other side of the island where last season's finale took place. (the others taking jack, kate, sawyer captive, and letting michael and walt go free) they get on the beach, and set a fire for jack to find them. jack is still locked up and pouting. meanwhile the others are making sawyer and kate do some manual labor. kate sees the chick that helped libby last season, who just might be the crazy french chick's daughter. she almost helps kate, but runs away. ok? sawyer almost breaks free again, stealing an automatic machine gun but the others put a gun to kates head and its over. the others end up finding the sailboat, almost killing sun, but she jumps off the boat at the last minute. towards the end of the ep, the supposid leader of 'the others' the artist formally known as 'henry gale' lets jack know his real name. "ben linus." um ok. he reveals that he's been living on the island his entire life. he reveals to jack news of the outside world. (they have been stranded on the island for 60 something days, the redsocks win the world series, george w. is reelected, and christopher reeves is dead) jack is stunned, and then ben tells him that if he is good and goes along with everything that he will let him go back to the real world. contrary to what other lostnerds are saying, i'm loving this season thus far. we are learning that 'the others' aren't just crazy people living in the jungle, with torn up raggidy clothes. there is alot more too it. next episode we get to see what happend to the hatch, when it BLEW UP on last season's finale!!! what happend to locke ecko and charlie??!?!! dun dun dun.
i'm a nerd. if you didn't know this already, i like watching tv.
later.
