My Super Ex-Girlfriend

from the great comedy director Ivan Reitman (maker of evolution, father's day, junior, kindergarden cop, ghostebusters, twins, stripes, groundhog's day, and meatballs ....to name a FEW.) comes 'my super ex-girlfriend.'

first of all, not a super hero flick. it's a romantic comedy. so it's more of a superhero/romantic comedy. must be the first.

story goes like this:

cinematic everyman (luke wilson) asks out superhero G-girl. (superhot godess UMA THURMAN) they go out, yada yada yada. she turns out to be a pyscho crazy cuckoo. but a pyscho crazy cuckoo ...with superpowers. antics ensue. rain wilson (Dwight from nbc's 'the office') plays luke's wisecracking best friend. amy smart (from 'scary movie' fame) play's luke's next girlfriend, after he breaks up with uma. wanda sykes, who is now in like every movie, plays luke's boss. and (infamous british/gay comedian) eddie izzard -barely- passes for straight as he plays uma's arch nemesis in the flick.

the movie was enjoyable. pretty funny. surprisingly good special effects for a comedy. better than some superhero flicks. our buddy ivan reitman doesn't dissapoint. let's face it...i'm not gonna say anything bad aboot a movie with uma in it...i will devour any flick she is in. she can do anything...from decapitating 88 men with a samurai sword(kill bill), singing in a musical (the producers) to saving the world...in my super ex. enjoyable.

not bad. all 3 movies i saw this week were pretty good. so if your in the mood to see a flick, my advice: check out CLERKS2, lady in the water, or my super ex-girlfriend.
