last night i went to see grandma's boy. i enjoyed it immensely. a happy madison movie. starring and cowrote by allen covert, a dude that's played like supporting characters in every adam sandler movie to date. also starring Nick Swardson, a very funny comedian, Linda Cardellini, of 'freaks and geeks' fame, kevin nealon, doris roberts, and shirley jones.
probobly the main reason why i enjoyed this movie so much was because it was all about video games, and had ALOT of nerd humor.
the story is about a dude, alex, (that works as a video game tester for a fake company called 'brainasium') that has to move out of his apt. because his roommate spends all the rent money on hookers. so he moves in with his grandma and her two roommates. hijinx ensue.
this movie may not make that much box office cash because it's not in any way a blockbuster, and it doesn't really have that many big names in it..but maybe it will become more of a mallrats-esque cult favorite.
i may not of been the oldest one in the theatre, but i may have been the dorkiest...i was the only one to laugh at the opening credits being shown over the game galaga. ya i am a dork.
